Gallery is Now Operational and Fucntioning! ... I think

Okay guys and gals out there in furry land, it would seem I got the image gallery working! A few ini configs here, pathing configuration there, and a security settings all over the place! It is, for the most part, more secure than the first option I had, and a bit more robust. For now I think the posting rights are restricted to admins so that way Wolfie can post TAF memories for us! (Or have me do it.. *cough*)

Expect some gallery goodies later as we start figuring out what we want to post and where. Enjoy all!

Added Assorted Site Avatars

I noticed that we only had that one e107 'avatar' for users to pick from when they did not want to upload their own. Fear not! I have gone through a selection of public domain icons and hand picked a few for users new and old to choose from. Especially if they're like me and not that photoshop inclined as to make their own for uploading. If you want to use one of the new avatars, just go to your profile and update it. There should be a section in the profile description for avatars. Just choose one of the site ones by clicking on that button.

Yes, I know we still lack a gallery, and I am lazy. Wolfie will flog me later with whole wheat lasagne noodles. Tickets for that event are $5 per.

T-Shirt Design Contest Forum Entry Now Available

Okay folks, I have put up a forum for people to submit and discuss t-shirt designs. When the time comes, I will put up a poll for people (read anyone not just registered users) to vote on their favorites! Right now it is just a placeholder until people talk more and submit pictures. Still working with GoDaddy on getting that image gallery up. I switched to this new one simply because it is a little more robust and they fixed a security issue with this version that made me avoid the last version.

The discussion can be found here TAF T-Shirt Design Contest Forum Discussion

Also, for those people who registered but wondered why it took so long for the registration to go through, that's my bad. I have been trying to check daily, and sometimes I don't recognize people. Thus, I research who applies! Oh, and we do have a TAF member in Russia who I declined, sorry, kind of a reflex. If you registered and don't see access in 2 days, just use the Contact Us link up top to send a message to Aio. This sends it directly to my mailbox and I will see them quicker that way.

Have fun all!

Forums and Gallery and Missing Long Arrays!

Okay, I put the forums up with some basic board structure. Keep things simple until the master minds behind this site get together and plot a little. Did a little rearrangement on the menus as well. Trying to preserve realty space for now as well as making things a little easier to find. I also did an adjustment on the theme/layout of the site, shortening the top a bit, removing the google advertising bar.

So far as the forums go a few basic general boards have been set up and more will be added as needed or asked for. General forum rules, don't be a jerk, don't cause drama, don't post things others might find offensive (other furries anyways...). The forums are set up so anyone can view them, but only members, registered members, can post to them, use the polls, upload images to them, etc. On that subject:

Registration! Right now user accounts are via 'admin authorization' only. We have already had several attempts from Russia and China to get accounts here. Nothing like the smell of spam in the morning. If you wish to post, just register. The site admins will try to check frequently to look for new furries. Don't be offended if you are asked 'okay, who are you?'. One of the admins is not good with remembering people. *cough*Aio*cough* You should be able to log in, put up a lil avatar icon and everything!

Now, onto the image boards subject. I have Coppermine installed, it is a very friendly and robust series of image boards. Provided certain things for PHP are set correctly! It will be time to call Godaddy again to ask them to set something in the php.ini for our site. If they won't, we can always get around that, I'd just rather have it as a global set up and not a local. And, as a reminder for the person who will have to call and ask, this is what we need to remember.

Set the following to ON for PHP5 in the ini file:
register_long_arrays

More updates to come, I have been getting my ass kicked at work, but things are finally calming down so happy happy joy joy. Stay tuned!

We have stuff!

Okay, starting to get tired but managed to put in a gallery, and the forums. Also have the sidebar set up to handle the Facebook and I think I correclty got the Twitter links in. I had to pick out a new image gallery as the one I was wanting to use was not correctly installing, so we will see how that works out. Trying to not clutter up the interface too much, it's hard not to though with all the cool 'trinkets' that are at my disposal.

e107 Successfully Installed

Okay, GoDaddy moved our hosting to Linux based (yay for CHMOD) and kept our settings, so that made some things easier. We picked a theme, one which I will probably edit here in the next few days. Until all that gets addressed, we've got plugins going in, debating what to do with the existing twitter setup as well as Facebook. So it should be fun on the bun, as it were.

Graphics coming up, gallery, who knows, the skies the limits! Need more Mountain Dew.
